I would only go for a polygamous marriage - Birmingham woman . . Haleema Muhammad says husband's other wives meant less responsibility for each wife. She travelled to her home country Somalia more than a decade ago and decided to marry a man who already had three wives. . . The marriage broke down as she wanted to return to the UK where she has been highlighting the issues. Polygamous marriages are illegal in the UK but the practice goes on and, she says, it leaves the wives with a lack of rights.
