FORMER GERMAN CAPTAIN MICHAEL BALLACK ADVISES MESUT OZIL TO LEAVE ARSENAL IF HE WANTS ANY MORE TROPHIES...

Former Germany captain Michael Ballack has advised fellow countryman Mesut Ozil to leave Arsenal if he is wants to win more silverware in his career.

The 28-year-old playmaker has been linked with a number of big clubs in recent months, but his former teammate feels the player should consider a move to Bayern Munich if he does decide to leave the London club.
Ozil’s existing deal at the Emirates is due to expire in June 2018 and with no contract renewal signed, Ballack has hinted that the midfielder should consider other options."Mesut is an amazing player. He knows that he is one of the undisputed stars at Arsenal," Ballack told Sport Bild."A lot of clubs would love to have him.

"But if he wants to win a major title, he has a bigger chance to achieve that at Bayern."If Ozil is to put a transfer request in at the Gunners then they will make sure they get the right price for him, but Ballack does not believe a hefty fee would be much of an issue for Bayern.
"If you look at the recent developments in England and China, it seems inevitable that Bayern will soon pay transfer fees of €50 million or so as well," he added.

"They have to if you want to keep competing with the best."If you want to bring in world-class players, you will have to invest."
